  • Scuba Diving – a tropical adventure

When you go on holiday to a tropical country you are bound to want to explore the land, taking in the local sights and adventuring across the country but at most costal destinations that’s just the half of it! There’s plenty more to see, and arguably even more breath-taking scenery under the sea.

Scuba diving trips can be arranged whilst your away on holiday and you don’t have to have any scuba qualifications or past experience. You can book a day trip where a boat will take you to the best location and qualified instructors will set you up and take you on a guided dive.

You do need scuba qualifications if you want to dive at deeper depths however you can also book and do these courses on holiday with a reputable company and come out of it with an official qualification.

Most divers will actually agree that the most vibrant and colourful sea life is usually found in shallower waters due to the access to sunlight and the water temperatures being naturally higher so a shallower dive may actually be the best option for you.

  • Stag or Hen holidays

Stag and Hen parties are becoming increasing more elaborate. In the past, it often entailed a trip to the local with your mates or an evening at a night club or at most a strip club, but recently the bar has been raised with some people spending nearly as much on a stag or hen do as the wedding itself. More and more people are opting to go on holiday, making the do last a number of days if not weeks. With this development, it should come as no surprise that the holiday companies are now designing tailor made packages aimed at stag and hen parties.

Some recent popular destinations are Magaluf, Amsterdam and the Canaries. This is probably because they are very often set up for young adults with a lot of nightlife, great weather and golden beaches, they are also only a few hours away on a plane meaning it is viable to go for a long weekend. When booking this type of holiday, try and plan some activities before you go so you can work out the costs as it is very easy to get swept away in the moment and end up booking trips whilst there that eat up all your budget.

  • Holiday clubs for children

If you go on holiday and on a complex or family orientated park / camp site, then you may find that they offer a children’s club. These widely vary from accommodation providers, some running a few clubs daily that last an hour or so to others offering children’s entertainment the majority of the day. Some families chose not to participate in activities such as these as they want their children to be with them and for them to all do things together as a family, where as others quite like the idea of having a few hours without the children around to do what they wish to.
If you do choose to send your children to a holiday club, make sure you know where they will be and what they will be ding, also ensure that you can be contacted should there be a problem and that the people looking after your children are responsible.

  • A Shark Cage Diving Experience

For years the world has experienced a concerted effort by much of the global media to aggravate our fears of sharks. We see this most clearly with films like Jaws, which have done a lot to damage the image of what sharks, and great white sharks particularly, are actually like. We saw in the movie how the shark just shredded apart the shark cage, but this is actually a very unlikely, nigh impossible situation. The reality is that many people try to experience shark cage diving, with relatively little risk involved. Unlike diving with sharks in the open, cage diving allows you to see sharks during a feeding frenzy. By placing blood and food for the sharks within the water, while you are of course within the cage, so that you can see them interact in a way which would otherwise be too dangerous. While their image as mindless man-eating monsters is a gross exageration, the reality is that they are still top predators.

So, when you are going for a scuba diving holiday experience, check out your alternative options, like shark cage diving, if you want to have an exhilarating experience.
