Category: Holidays Types
Before looking at possible destinations, it is a good idea to have an understanding of the type of trip you want as not every holiday is the same. Enjoyment of a holiday can depend on two things: how you want to spend your time away and where you want to spend your time away.
For some people, the comfort of an all-inclusive package makes for a stress free holiday as the price is agreed upfront, the food is settled, and there are no awkward restaurant bill moments at the end of a meal. For some people, the opposite is true and, to a degree, the price of a holiday package is the price of the freedom to spend your time away how you want.
A holiday can be a luxury experience without a luxury price. Good judgement of the holiday operator and perhaps some research can yield exceptional results. The opposite is true, and some resorts that charge a great deal can have fairly ordinary offerings.
There are fishing holidays, sailing trips, safaris, family holidays, stag and hen breaks, solo travel, and honeymoons — each with its own elements to consider. The guides here cover the main types to give you a good starting point.
